Family moved to Scarborough between 1900 and 1901. Brothers Harold, Ernest, Norman, Albert, Lawrence (Cyril, died 1910) and two sisters.
Returned to Hull. Worked at Humber Street Fruit Market.
Enlisted Feb 1917. To France Aug 1917.
