2021 Photography Competitions

Spring is in the air, and it’s time for the Friends of Dean Road & Manor Road Cemetery to open the spring category of their photography competitions. The usual rules apply, please see below. We hope you manage to get out with your cameras and enjoy the cemetery at this wonderful time of year.
Rules for the competition:

  • The adult category competition is open to anyone aged 16 or over except for Members and family of the judging panel.
  • The junior category competition is open to anyone aged 15 or under.
  • Only three photographs per season per photographer will be permitted, a total of 12 photographs over the year.
  • The photograph must have been taken in and of Dean Road or Manor Road Cemetery.
  • All photographs may be used by the Friends to help promote the work we do and may be reproduced both physically and digitally.
  • The photographs remain the property of the photographer and every attempt will be made to ensure they are fully credited and recognised.
  • Entries will be judged by The Friends judging panel and their decision is final.
  • Please respect the cemetery and its users when taking your photographs.
  • All photographs that are submitted must be the photographer’s own work.
  • Images may be digitally enhanced to remove spots or scratches or the like, but may not be manipulated.
  • Entrants can enhance the picture to make it brighter or clearer etc. but not manipulate the content. The Friends judging panel reserve the right to exclude any image they believe may have been excessively treated so as to alter its authenticity.

The deadline for the spring category will be May 31st 2021. The winners of this category to be announced on 14 June 2021. This is when the summer competition will also be opened.
