Biographical Information

Edwin was born in Driffield, at 3 Stanley Street. He and his elder brother Alfred were “town bobbies”. In 1907 he married Elizabeth, and they had two sons. They lived at 29 Sandringham St, Scarborough.

Edwin was the first casualty of the Scarborough Pals, dying in Scarborough after eating contaminated bully beef.
