Biographical Information

John was born in Scarborough in the third quarter of 1895 to Stephen and Margaret Megginson.

John joined the Green Howards 2nd battalion H company. He was killed in France on February 28th 1915 aged 19 years. His parents address on his papers was 83, Trafalgar Square.

John (Jack) is interred at Rue- David Military Cemetery Fleurbaix.He is also remembered on Oliver’s Mount War memorial ,St. Mary’s church Roll of Honour and Dean Road Cemetery ref. F 315
