Biographical Information

Walker Wilson Kitchen was born in the last quarter of 1893 in Scarborough, the son of George and Jane Kitchen. The 1911 census shows the family to be living at 4, Mill Street, and Walker then aged 17 worked as a shop assistant.

He joined the Queens Royal Surrey Regiment and died (of wounds received ) on 18/08/1917.

He was interred in Weimer (Wimereux) Communal Cemetery in France. Also in Manor Road Cemetery section M and on Oliver’s Mount War Memorial.
