Biographical Information

Son of Walter & Harriet Dixon. John Harold Tinson Dixon left his business as a dentist & qualified pharmaceutical chemist in Worksop to join the Royal Engineers in December 1915, at which time he had a wife and two young children. He was posted to the Army Reserve, was recalled in May 1916, was posted to France on 2 June and was killed in the Battle of the Somme on 14 July.
