Biographical Information

Eldest son of Col. F. D’Arcy Champney (late 4th Bn. Duke of Wellington’s Regt.) and Mrs. Champney, of The Valley, Scarborough. Educated at Denstone College, Staffordshire (member of O.T.C. 3 years, VI. Form, Senior Prefect; Editor “Denstonian.”) Balliol College, Oxon, O.C.B., 1916. commissioned Jan., 1917. Died from meningitis resulting from wounds received at Sailly-sur-la-lys.
