Biographical Information

Born Scarborough in 1894. Living at 85 Candler Street in 1901 census with father Alfred, age 31 (musician), mother Ann and siblings Francis K, Lillian and Eric. Joined up in Richmond. 1911 census he lived at 111 Candler Street with parents and extra siblings, Albert and Nellie. By 1918 his parents had moved to Salisbury he is remembered on his grandparents’ Frederick & Jane Candler’s grave in Scarborough.
