Biographical Information

The 1/5th battalion was a Territorial battalion. It landed in France on 17 April 2018 and in June 1918 was transferred to 103rd Brigade 34th Division.
Between 20th July and 2nd August the 103rd 34th division fought in the battles of Soissanais and the Ourcq (Marne) and it is recorded that the 34th division captured the Bagneux Ridge during this engagement.
