Joining the Friends
Get Involved – One way of supporting the Friends of Dean Rd and Manor Rd Cemetery, is to become a member. As a new member you will receive an attractive enamel badge depicting the logo of the Friends group, and regular newsletters, keeping you updated on the progress made in the restoration of the cemetery. You’ll be doing your bit to make a positive difference.
Membership costs £10 per year. Members are invited to a themed guided walk each August as a thank you for their ongoing support.

Make a Difference
The Friends of Dean Road and Manor Road Cemetery have regular volunteer sessions where we do things like planting bulbs, litter picking, cutting back overgrown shrubs, painting railings, and working on projects like The Secret Garden. Why don’t you come along and have a go..…all you need is stout shoes or boots and a willingness to muck in. We meet at the deadhouse behind the chapel on Dean Rd cemetery. You’ll be made very welcome.
Volunteer sessions take place on the first Sunday of every month, from 10am till 12.
We meet at the deadhouse behind the chapel, and all equipment is provided. Come and join us and make a difference.
We have a small friendly committee and we’d welcome anyone who’s interested in joining us. We meet monthly and arrange fundraising events and plan for future projects. Whatever your skills we can use them! Contact us to find out more, or come down to one of our Sunday volunteer days and meet us.

Make a Donation
Donations help the Friends to make improvements to the appearance of the cemetery. To date we have used donations to buy tools and litter pickers, bulbs and plants, and to contribute to match funding needed for large funding applications. We have raised over £100,000 since 2008, all of which has gone to improve the cemetery.
